The Canine Life and Social Skills (C.L.A.S.S.) program, created by the Association of Professional Dog Trainers, provides a fun, tiered approach to training that mirrors the structure of earning a college degree.
🎓 B.A. (Bachelor’s)
The B.A. level demonstrates a strong foundation in manners and obedience. Dogs learn to respond reliably in everyday situations with a focus on impulse control, recall, and polite leash manners.
🎓 M.A. (Master’s)
The M.A. level takes training further by adding distractions, distance, and duration. Dogs show that they can handle more complex tasks, remain calm under pressure, and demonstrate maturity and focus.
🎓 Ph.D. (Doctorate)
