Boarding

Boarding at Covenant Keeper’s K9

At Covenant Keeper’s K9, boarding is designed for dogs who already know our facility, our structure, and our expectations. We are not a traditional boarding kennel. Our boarding program is built around safety, calm behavior, routine, and maintaining the training your dog has already worked hard to build.

Because of this, boarding is available to current and approved CKK9 clients only.

Structured Boarding, Not Free-for-All Boarding

Our boarding environment is calm, supervised, and structured. Dogs are not placed into chaotic group play or allowed to practice pushy, reactive, or unsafe behaviors.

Your dog’s stay may include:Crate or kennel rest

Potty breaks

Structured leash walks

Calm handling

Place work

Threshold manners

Reinforcement of existing obedience

Appropriate individual play or enrichment

Safe exposure to the daily routine of the facility

Every dog is handled based on their temperament, training history, and individual needs

Who Boarding Is For

Boarding may be a good fit for dogs who:

Have trained with CKK9

Are familiar with structure and handling

Are crate or kennel trained

Can safely be managed by our team

Have up-to-date vaccines

Have completed an evaluation or training program with us

Boarding is especially helpful for dogs who need consistency while their owners are away. We understand how quickly progress can be lost when dogs are placed in the wrong environment, so our goal is to help maintain the structure they already know.

Who Boarding May Not Be For

Boarding may not be the right fit for dogs who:

Have not been evaluated by CKK9

Cannot safely be handled

Have severe separation issues without prior training support

Are not crate or kennel trained

Have a bite history we have not already discussed

Are highly reactive without a management plan in place

Safety is always our first priority. If your dog has behavioral concerns, we will discuss whether boarding is appropriate and what management may be required.

What Makes Our Boarding Different

We believe dogs thrive with clear expectations. During their stay, we continue to support the manners and boundaries they have learned through training. That means we do not allow:

Door dashing

Pulling handlers around

Fence fighting

Uncontrolled barking

Jumping on staff

Pushy behavior

Unstructured dog-to-dog interactions

Instead, we focus on calm, clear, consistent handling.
